Each Bucket Truck, Digger Derrick, Boom Truck or Crane is completely inspected once it arrives at our facility. Based on our inspection, the body bay crews remove any extra cabinets and corroded metal for replacement and repair. In preparation for painting and refinishing, all lights, grills and accessories are removed. Each Bucket Truck, Digger Derrick, Boom Truck or Crane is thoroughly soaked in degreaser. Immediately after the degreaser has been allowed to set and loosen the dirt and grime the vehicle is then completely power washed. Our cleaning process is a critical step in our total reconditioning process.

After a vehicle has ben power washed and degreased, it enters the Sandblasting Bay. All trucks that enter our facility will have the following items sandblasted: Wheels, front bumper, rear tail shaft, fuel tanks, wheel wells, frames, inside of the utility body and any other exposed metal that needs to be primed before entering the body bay. Each Bucket Truck, Digger Derrick, Boom truck or Crane is completely sanded down to the factory primer. All dents are pulled and any problem metal will be replaced. The entire truck is sanded down with a 320 grit sandpaper and primed with a gray 2K urethane coating prior to going to the paint bay. The undercoating I-80 Equipment uses delivers excellent corrosion resistance and durability. It is part of a two-step industrial coating process that assures a pristine finish. For added protection, each vehicle is LINE-X sprayed on the bed and walkways. LINE-X greatly extends equipment and vehicle life expectancy. It has a high "shoreD" hardness rating, offering excellent impact resistance and superior tensile strengths (up to 6,600 psi) resulting in outstanding abrasion resistance. Because the material is sprayed there is a precise seal, making the coating "water tight." It is part of a two-step industrial coating process that assures a quality finish. Applied with a 120 gallon Linex machine 100 mils thick,I-80 Equipment will back each bed liner with a guarantee.

Each Bucket Truck, Digger Derrick, Boom Truck or Crane will be reassembled in this bay. All broken parts will be replaced. All over spray and dirt will be tken off the windows and cleaned. The inside of the cab is cleaned and detailed. The finished paint exterior is buffed out and waxed with hand glaze. Any client requested customization will be completed at this stage together with additional strobe lights, cabinets, hitches, etc. This is the final step in our reconditioning process. Each Bucket Truck, Digger Derrick, Boom Truck or Crane is inspected utilizing a 77-point mechanical inspection and a 177-point boom inspection. I-80 Equipment utilitzes a 4-point alignment machine, cylinder machine and dielectric testing to ensure that our vehicles meet all Federal and DOT inspections.
